I feel a reading slump coming on, so hopefully the next Jackaby book can save me! I'm also planning to use this for the #ERMadlibs and #RogueBookBingo reading challenges.

Great start to this series! Magical witch sisters, love triangle in an alternative past that is a little Handmaid's Tale-esque. Plot is a little thin but I will definitely keep reading. #RogueBookBingo

An interesting look at modern strains of witchcraft and paganism in America. I had some questions/concerns about methodology and sincerity, but I did appreciate her honesty and felt I learned a lot. #RogueBookBingo

The Royal We was described to me as a fanfic about Will and Kate if Kate was American, which is accurate. It kept me entertained. My favorite part had nothing to do with the romance and everything to do with Bex's love of the Cubs and Derek Jeter. #roguebookbingo #yankeesfanfirst

A quest story with magic and brujeria. I loved the creepy underworld here - like Alice in Wonderland if she had grown up celebrating Día de Los Muertos. #RogueBookBingo

What I love about this series is the exploration of history and how little things can change a whole lot with time travel. I found myself wanting to spend more time on Etta's journey. My issue is that it felt too long, there were many points where it felt like it was dragging. #roguebookbingo

I thought the portrayal of DC was not entirely unfair (though a little over-exaggerated), and it was fun to see restaurants and bars I like get a shoutout. Mostly I just found Beth, the main character, to be too passive, and really wished she would start caring more about something (anything). #RogueBookBingo
