This.
“Socialized into a deeply internalized sense of superiority that we either are unaware of or can never admit to ourselves, we become highly fragile in conversations about race. We consider a challenge to our racial world-views as a challengers our very identities as good, moral people. Thus, we perceive any attempt to connect us to the system of racism as an unsettling and unfair moral offense.”

Chelleo Looking for to reading this in the near future. Welcome to Litsy! Hope these #Litsytips by @RaimeyGallant http://bit.ly/litsytips and #LitsyHowTo videos: goo.gl/UrCpoU are helpful. There‘s so many fun things to do: book exchanges, buddy reads, photo challenges and more! 6y

AskAprilJ @Chelleo Thanks. I‘ve heard all of these great things too! I haven‘t figured out the way Litsy thinks yet, but will continue to explore. “How to” is important but I don‘t connect with video well. I digress. Thanks for your input and offers! Have a delightful day! 6y

Interesting listen. DiAngelo's sociological perspective is fascinating, and I thought she made some strong recommendations for dealing with socialized racism.
