pickThis was an excellent book. It tells the story of Lily Wilson, called by her last name throughout the book. Wilson was Elizabeth Barrett Browning's maid, taken in to her service at age 19. This is a tale of the complex relationship between classes in the mid 1800s. It tells of the bond between them, but also how class structure kept them forever mistress and servant. 5⭐

Kind of a mixed reaction for me - some I quite liked, some didn't do much for me. But that's fair with poetry, I think.
