bailedWelp… my first bailed book of 2024… I hate to give up on a book, but this one just isn‘t for me! The description sounded so promising but the author‘s rather flowery prose didn‘t match the immediate violence throughout. And while I usually can stomach some grisly scenes, I need to care about the characters which didn‘t happen with the size of cast. They felt at a remove and the research bordered too closely to info-dumping to capture my interest.
