Yesterday was Virginia Woolf‘s birthday. How does one express the genius behind this talented author!? I have a small confession to make though... I avoided Woolf for years, because of the reviews and comments about how complicated and obtuse her writing style was, and how many found her difficult to read. But now, all I can say, the more I read her, the more I realize just how much I love and adore her writing. #virginiawoolf #mrsdalloway
I loved the book, “The Hours” by Michael Cunningham, so you‘d think I‘d love the Woolf classic, “Mrs. Dalloway” that it was based on but I‘m sorry to report that every time I pick it up I get through a few pages before I find that I‘m not in the mood for it.

The end of another month & season are fast approaching. Even though the heat has been stifling this summer, & I'm ready for a new season. I'm looking forward to a few last summer hurrahs. I'm also planning on finishing up each of the novels pictured above. I'm at least half way through each, & plan to have them wrapped up before the end of August.
