The Flame of Prometheus | Taryn L Davidson

“Naturally, as humans, we are drawn to each other—our lives become centered around family, friends, significant others, and even acquaintances. And, I believed, between every human being, there was an invisible string, linking people together.”

A deadly race for the Vatican‘s oldest secret fuels New York Times bestseller Steve Berry‘s latest international Cotton Malone thriller.
The pope is dead. A conclave to select his replacement is about to begin. Cardinals are beginning to arrive at the Vatican, but one has fled Rome for Malta in search of a document that dates back to the 4th century and

EadieB Constantine the Great.
Former Justice Department operative, Cotton Malone, is at Lake Como, Italy, on the trail of legendary letters between Winston Churchill and Benito Mussolini that disappeared in 1945 and could re-write history. But someone else seems to be after the same letters and, when Malone obtains then loses them, he‘s plunged into a hunt that draws the attention of the legendary Knights of Malta.

EadieB This was a very good book by Steve Berry. Cotton Malone is on the trail of letters between Churchill and Mussolini. He is also interested in finding the Nostra Trinita which the Church is very interested in too. The book is about WWII history, Catholic Church history, the Knights of Malta, and the process of electing a pope and the operations of the Vatican. 8mo
EadieB The book takes us to the geography, scenery, and history of Northern Italy and the Island of Malta. The book is a bit different than the plot of his other books but has a few twists and turns to add to the enjoyment. I'm looking forward to the next installment from Steve Berry as I do like his books. If you like history then you will love to read this book. 8mo

EadieB This was my first Michael Wood book but it won't be my last. I plan on reading his Matilda Drake books next. The minds of serial killers is what Olivia Winter is about. She is a forensic psychologist and the streets of London are where Olivia needs to focus. There is a serial killer roaming the streets and the police need Olivia to profile him. This book is a real page-turner and an interesting read. 8mo
EadieB Her father was a serial killer who killed her mother and sister and attempted to kill Olivia when she was 9 years old but she got away. I am now looking forward to reading more from this author as I really like his writing. If you like psychological thrillers then you will love to read this book. 8mo

The police begin looking at her brother, Gus, as their prime suspect. Gus finds a thread of the murder and follows it. Theo Benton is now missing and everyone looking for her will have to die.

EadieB This is a rollercoaster ride of a book. It‘s a literary thriller that Theo Benton will have to endure. The ending of the book was a complete shock as the truth finally came out. Read this book and discover who people are trying to protect. If you like stories that turn things upside down then you will love this book. (edited) 8mo

#PeopleWeMeetOnVacation #EmilyHenry #March2024 #TheBookSpin #SeriesLove2024 #ReadAway2024

Two best friends. Ten summer trips. One last chance to fall in love.
Poppy and Alex. Alex and Poppy. They have nothing in common. She‘s a wild child; he wears khakis. She has insatiable wanderlust; he prefers to stay home with a book. And somehow, ever since a fateful car share home from college many years ago, they are the very best of friends.

EadieB For most of the year they live far apart—she‘s in New York City, and he‘s in their small hometown—but every summer, for a decade, they have taken one glorious week of vacation together.
Until two years ago, when they ruined everything. They haven‘t spoken since.
Poppy has everything she should want, but she‘s stuck in a rut.
8mo
EadieB When someone asks when she was last truly happy, she knows, without a doubt, it was on that ill-fated, final trip with Alex. And so, she decides to convince her best friend to take one more vacation together—lay everything on the table, make it all right. Miraculously, he agrees.
Now she has a week to fix everything.
8mo
EadieB If only she can get around the one big truth that has always stood quietly in the middle of their seemingly perfect relationship. What could possibly go wrong?
This is a very good Romcom. Poppy and Alex are very good friends who go on vacation together. There is no love but just friendship for 12 years. After a few drinks one night, they start to share how they feel about each other.

What lengths would you go to avenge your fathers death?
Would you take on a billion dollar empire?
What if that empire was the music industry?
In this new crime thriller fiction series, the vivid imagination of Phillip J Kriz brings the elusive backstage concert experience to life.

EadieB The Roadie Cartel keeps you on the edge of your seat with a story that combines America‘s love of going to concerts with its odd obsession with the lavish and dangerous cartel lifestyle.
This is a detailed journey of three immigrants forced to flee their small farm town in Czechoslovakia and start all over in the land of opportunity, America.

EadieB This exciting tale spans multiple decades laying out just how these three siblings changed the live music industry and drug trafficking world forever. Come inside this wild ride of good and evil found in each person as these immigrants search to unlock the key to riches where they believe happiness is found. 8mo
