I love these books, I‘m a card carrying member of the #phryneappreciationclub Please please Kerry, write us a new Phryne adventure, I‘m begging🙏 This story is the only one set in 1928 Sydney, while the bridge was still being built & the Opera House was far in the future. Phryne & Dot are looking for Dots missing sister.🕵🏻♀️
pickBk 9 of the Phryne Fisher series has been reread. I was planning on switching to some other Australian authors but I‘ve now been bitten by the #phryneappreciationclub bug & need to finish rereading the whole series! Not that it‘s a hardship at all. Still going strong with my personal #loveozfictionreadathon🇦🇺 Of which this is bk5. Onto the next, Death Before Wicket!🏏
pickWhat more can I say about this series that I haven‘t already said? I can‘t praise it any higher, you‘ll just have to take my word that you need to read it ASAP! Bk7 in the series sees Phryne, her lover Lin Chung & her faithful maid Dot, go to a weeks break at Caves House, a Gothic mansion in the Victorian highlands. But before they‘ve arrived they rescue a maid in the fog & been shot at. Then the maid disappears after Phryne sees her dead body.5⭐️
Continuing my #loveozfictionreadathon with a reread of Bk7 in the Phryne Fisher series. I‘ve recently been buying the #audible versions but I‘ve run out of credits so the print version it is. Plus, the other Aussie author books are temp in a large box & I‘m in too much pain to be arsed honestly. Anytime is Phryne time though, reading about the amazing jazz age vamp PI will cheer me up immensely👍 #phryneappreciationclub
pickBk8 of the Rowly Sinclair series is done! I love everything about this series, the setting & time period(1930s Sydney mostly) the characters & how the author has woven in the political climate of the day, just before WWII when most countries were blind to the danger posed by Germany‘s chancellor. Rowly & his cadre attempt to assist a German dissenter & victim of the fascist government to enter Australia to speak at a rally. #loveozfictionreadathon
