1* I like to put up the tree by mid-November and leave it until Epiphany in January.
2* tagged. I can‘t focus on tangible books right now so I borrowed some audiobooks yesterday from Libby.

Friday night and I‘m enjoying my favourite reading spot one last time. Tomorrow we get the tree 🌲 and it sits right here until Epiphany. So for now, I‘m just chilling in my favourite indoor reading spot ( besides my bed) with my favourite cocktail ( French blonde ) and the sweetest book that I know will break my heart

This is admittedly the kind of story I can tend to avoid if left to my own devices…. But I‘m glad it was a pick for my work book club. It is, of course, emotional and moving, but also full of love, light, and life. Besides Lenni‘s friendship with Margot, I adored her relationship with Father Arthur. May our loved ones‘ stories live on.🎧
Five feet apart is a good book if you like things like Romeo and juliet, The fault in our starts, and Me before you. A book about falling and love and feeling connected but having so much love that you have to let it go. The theme is romance and letting go which is portraits through Stella falling inlove with Will but Will making the deduction to leave to protect her
I know that Elizabeth Strout won the Pulitzer Prize and is a great author, but I found this book super bland and boring. I enjoy books that are people stories with little plot, but this was just… so dull to me. For those who like her, can you explain why? I don‘t mean that in a snarky way; I genuinely want to understand who to recommend her books to when my store opens. Thanks!
I did an ILL for this book based on a mention from Rebecca Makkai in her afterword for “The Great Believers.” It‘s heartbreaking but important to honor those who lost their lives to AIDS - plus honor the many caregivers who did so much ♥️ #TBRtarot
This book is in alternating 1st person. Stella was born with cystic fibrosis as well as her best friend poe. While she is in for a visit she notices Will. Will has B Cepatia meaning they can never be near each other. Always staying five feet apart. Poe passes away the day of them confessing their love and risking their lives together. Stella gets her new lungs and Will loves her so much he leaves because he could infect her.
