Another cute book that has a baby mummy playing hide n seek with it's mommy mummy. However, the baby gets lost and runs into all sorts of creatures looking for its mommy. Adorable story and wonderful graphics.

My first Lisa Unger and from reviews I realize it might not have been the best place to start. A group of influencers are brought together for a game of hide and seek. Each one has a need for the $ prize and redemption, but a dangerous storm is coming and their famous hosts are facing a deadly reckoning. I too found it hard to sympathize with the characters, but it was an interesting plot. A 3⭐️story that kept me reading until the end.

Kids from a neighborhood play a game of Hide and Seek and break the rules therefore allowing this malevolent god of Hide and Seek to take them to this shadowy upside down version of their world where it tortures them with with their deepest fears. Some of these kids had fears that were so sad. It‘s reminiscent of those kids on bikes novels from the 90s and 80s with the power of friendship. It‘s middle grade and a pick!

This book was just a mess. There were so many different things going on and side stories that I just didn't care about. There was no reason to care because there were so many characters, and they all were insufferable. I saw all the "twists" coming, nothing new, unfortunately. This whole book was just boring and following a bunch of unlikable people. I was so bored ? 1/5

I usually thoroughly enjoy Lisa Unger‘s books and most often read her backlist titles. Therefore, I was thrilled to place a hold on Libby when her latest thriller, Close Your Eyes and Count to 10, became available. However, this time, I was underwhelmed. The story heavily focuses on the unhealthy aspects of social media, influencers, and the pursuit of followers.

Nope. Too bored. Took too long for someone to die and none of the characters are particularly compelling. I called it quits around the halfway point and the game hadn‘t even started yet and I thought it was supposed to be the main focus of the story! Hard pass.

Listened to 19% of this one. Just do not care to hear a story about any kind of “influencer” doing anything. Just an increasing amount of vapid people doing dumb shit.
I‘ve never read Lisa Unger, so if you‘re a big fan, please drop me some of your top recommendations. I‘d still like to give her a try.
