@TheSpineView #Two4Tuesday Thanks for the tag!

1. My grandma, she was my reading model for all of my formative years . 🩷
2. My husband. He is supportive and has my back even when we don‘t see eye to eye. Also my kids. They keep my honest and humble.

42 out of 50. Hard to choose three (though not as hard as the villains list), but here goes:

1. Rick Blaine (Casablanca)
2. Philip Marlowe (The Big Sleep)
3. Marge Gunderson (Fargo)

Honorable mention to Han Solo, George Bailey, and probably half a dozen others who just missed the cut.

RaeLovesToRead 7....... wow. You are correct in that you have to give me cultural info 🤣🤣🤣 Ripley is the standout on this list, for sure. 2mo

My goodness I loved this one so much. A five star read for me. A boy in middle school is managing a plant nursery with his adult brother after the unexpected death of their parents. A tough teacher assigns him 12 challenging tasks that mirror the mythical labors of Hercules. Throughout the book he learns about the value of friendship, found family, & the ways that we can save ourselves as we embrace a community and care for those around us.

Beautifully illustrated story of Claudia (Lady Bird) Johnson, First Lady of the US from 1963-68. She wanted to beautify the roadways and fields of Texas and that was her mission until her death in 2007.

Very good MG with some tough stuff. I came close to crying several times. Hercules has a school assignment to recreate the Twelve Labors of the mythical Hercules. It‘s a challenge, but it makes Herc learn about himself and how to process losing his parents. TW for death of parents and harm to animals (not by humans, all natural, but nature is kind of a bitch in this case).

Middle grade fiction. Excellent characters. Several difficult and/or very tragic events were a little too much for me. Very good audio narration.
