#deception is the name of the game. Hermione helping Ron, the trio helping Hagrid, Snape inadvertently helping Harry, suggested by the text, but I am sure given a choice between Slughorn's party and Snape's Flobberworms, I know which one I would pick. I love this (unrelated) image of Hermione. A powerful witch, surrounded by meaningful icons, she appears focussed and commanding.
