These were micro-short-stories.

My favorite was, “ The Sea Sends Word“ where a message in a bottle saves the day.

I didn't plan on reading the plays...glad I did, there were some real gems there.

These were just fun...some strange, some spooky, “mostly“ all interesting.

Ever since reading my brother's “Dick Tracy“ book, I've been meaning to get myself out to our storage and check out some of his other books.

Today, I decided to make the time and I found these four gems from one of my brother's boxes of things.

My brother journeyed on just before his 15th birthday. Just after I turned five years old.

non hodgkin's lymphoma.

I like to say that he's sharing them with me...feels like buddy reads with my big bro 📚🥲💝.

We've always had some of his things displayed around the house...I'm not sure why I've waited so long to check out his books. I mean his teenage library. His children books had always been mixed with mine. 👇 (edited) 1mo

AnnCrystal @PaperbackPirate Been years since I've watched the Jurassic Park movie, although I liked the movie and I'm hoping I like the book too.

I'm wimpy. Too afraid to ever watch or read Jaws...only read half of Zoo by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge...and only watched one episode of the Swarm series because it (was incredibly good) freaked me out 😂.

My bro had really loved this book, I'm hoping I can like it as much as I enjoyed the movie 📚🎬💝. (edited) 1mo

Dick Tracy: Secret Files | Martin Harry Greenberg

I'm sad that I've finished this. Haven't seen the Dick Tracy movie since childhood, and these stories are the first ones I've ever read about this character.

When I first discovered this book amongst my brother's things, I immediately wanted to read through it as fast as possible. Then I realized what a mistake that would be for me to do. 👇

AnnCrystal My brother was the last one to read this book, and it's the first of his books (aside from the books in our shared kid Library) that I've read. This became like a buddy-read between my big bro and I. I even believe I know which story was his favorite 💎⛵🦈😉🥰.

This book has reintroduced me to a character that I've always been a fan of, and made me realize that I should have long ago seek out stories 👇 3mo

Dick Tracy will always have a place among my Batman books, and this book will be given a place of honor beside my all time favorite “Batman Begins“ book.

Funny, my brother had been the one who introduced both of these characters to me.

The journey through the 40days of Lent is complete!

OK, where to begin? With this one! The one that tempted me!

When I went into my family's storage to collect my box of gold 🌟 books that I had stashed away, I sneaked a peek into one of the boxes filled with my brother's old things and found this!

Automatically, I whipped up a post to share here on Litsy...then realized what I was doing!

What an epic find. Hadn't known my brother had this. 👇

AnnCrystal Read through the first story, then made myself wait until Easter to continue.

Actually, there are a few books that I hit the pause button on until after Easter.

I believe that I have devoured more books in 40 days than I usually do in 30 days (which is normally about half a book)! I do believe I was testing myself 😂😉.
