I didn‘t have much time to read the last two days so I‘m still reading Flame in the mist bz Renée Ahdieh. For the weekend I‘m going home again. Coincidentally there is a Street Food Festival in both of my towns! ☀️

A book with a lot of potential that was half baked. I wanted more about Jukai forest, the yokai, the members of the Black Clan, and more evidence that Mariko is actually as clever as everyone says she is. Even the style of the book suggests sentences were removed from it in chunks. Nothing is followed through with and everything, especially the romance, is rushed. Hoping the sequel is better.
