☹️😢 My reading life for the next eight weeks. I hope it‘s better than I am anticipating. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

My recreational reading will dwindle to dribs and drabs until right after Xmas.

Chittavrtti I have issues with Emile. 3y
Tamra @Chittavrtti yes, I can see why thumbing though it briefly. Obviously a product of his time. 3y

Helping my son stay focused on his college work- he is reading Wollstonecraft aloud to me. It‘s mind boggling that she was such a visionary, equal rights advocate in 1792. What she espoused was totally against the social, cultural, religious mores of the times. I wonder if she would be amazed that women still struggle for their rightful place in our society?

Tamra Isn‘t it?! 5y
ValerieAndBooks One thing I recently learned was that Aaron Burr was a fan of this book — he carried around a miniature portrait of Mary Wollstonecraft, and made sure his daughter Theodosia had a relatively good education. Maybe share that tidbit with your son 😊 5y
kspenmoll @ValerieAndBooks Thank you! He had no idea about Aaron Burr being a fan of the book & loved your tidbit!! 5y
