I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

Post Apocalyptic with humour
After the bombs, there‘s the standard 5% remaining humanity, the Mad Max type towns, violence and death. A surprise was the small spark of humour that runs throughout. A large plot twist, improbable good over bad victory, and the hero gets the girl. The hero isn‘t quite what you‘d expect, but beggars can‘t be choosers. A good read, and a promise of a good series to come.
1/5⭐ I'm glad Carriger's writing since this story from 1998 has drastically improved, because My Sister's Song is overwhelmingly infodumpy and not at all compelling.
Read this for the #torbookclub. When I read about this book on forums most people said they found it hard to get into, complicated. But I loved it. Rational/theological science fiction, that's my jam! I loved the world building, language used, style, and story. Can't wait to read the rest of the series (but budget says I must 😕). 5/5 stars #sf #near-future #theological #ebookonly #freebook
