This novel by Nick Cave (of NC & The Bad Seeds fame) features one of the most unlikable main characters ever- being with Bunny Munro the whole time nearly ruined the novel for me. He's got a 'joke' where he introduces himself to women he's hitting on and makes bunny ears wave on his head. So, technically, this was never funny, but I'll be charitable and say #ThatJokeIsntFunnyAnymore #JuneTunz @Cinfhen

Cinfhen Ha! He sounds like a total #douchewod 8y
Sue I have found Nick Cave writing incredibly pretentious. I bailed after about 10 pages of And the Ass Saw the Angel. Have you heard about the book of sickbag poetry he was supposed to be releasing? 8y
Billypar I loved the film The Proposition that he wrote the screenplay for so that led me to pick this one up. Wasn't enjoying it for most of the way, got a little better at the end but not enough to recommend. I know what you mean about the pretentious vibe. Didn't hear about the poetry collection.... Is 'sickbag' a style? 8y

Sue Apparently he has written a bunch of poetry on vomit bags while flying and was going to put them all into a book. The poems (hopefully not the vomit bags) 😂 8y
Billypar @Sue Oh geez... That would only occur to Nick Cave 😄 I hope the poetry isn't connected to the choice of paper. 8y
Sue You can say that again! 😊 8y
