Litsy, I have a request!

Can you share your favorite female or LGBTQA horror writers? I love this genre but I‘m dreading reading horror written from a perspective where women are victim or exploit right now. POC prominence would also be amazing. I found an awesome list to get started but would love to hear faves!

Guildedearlobe My favorites are Mira Grant, Tananarive Due, and Lauren Beukes. Also, DJ Goodman writes in a wide range of genres, she‘s currently trying to get the rights back to her books. The original publisher was bought out but a group that also publishes Alt right stuff. (edited) 6y
SkeletonKey @Guildedearlobe - Thanks! And wow- that would make me extremely unhappy too. (edited) 6y
Bklover I want to see your responses too! 6y

SkeletonKey @Bklover - 🤩 Yay! 6y
Broke_Girl_Reads I haven‘t read her because I‘m too much of a scaredy cat, but pretty much every reviewer I admire has recommended Carmen Maria Machado 6y
SkeletonKey @Broke_Girl_Reads - Oooh, I‘ve been meaning to read that one too! 6y
kalinichta While I haven't read them, so I can't vouch for quality, Laurell K. Hamilton and Poppy Z. Brite/Billy Martin were popular when I was a gothling. 6y
SkeletonKey @kalinichta - Billy is a favorite!! Hamilton not so much any more but I did like the first few Anita Blake books 🙂 Thanks for the reminder. 6y
