I don't know how young I was when I read this but when one of the bingo squares for library SRP bingo was “Reread a childhood favorite“ I knew this was the one.

Man, reading this with adult eyes-this book still gutted me. I was sitting at lunch telling myself don't cry. I really resonate with this story-change the details but the ugly duckling sister was me growing up.

I just...this book, man...I have to get a copy for my shelves.

marleed Oh hats a great category for a bingo hit! 9mo
Coffeymuse @marleed There was a similar category last year and I read Avi's “Charlotte Doyle“. So fun revisiting childhood faves! 9mo

1. Little Town on the Prairie
2. I went through a Michener phase in high school and well into my twenties.
3. I‘d like to read Lord of the Rings again for the first time and without movie scenes in my head.

Bittersweet coming-of-age story about #twins growing up on an island in the Chesapeake Bay. Picture is of a different bay in Maryland but gives a good idea of the landscape. #newyearnewbooks

Eggs Oh how I loved this book❣️ 1y

melissajayne It was my first book I read that was outside of a middle grade series that I absolutely loved. I read the book as an adult and I still loved it. 1y

#Pop23 ~a book you read more than 10 years ago. I read this in 6th grade, living in Massachusetts at the time. Revisiting it in my adulthood as a Maryland resident, the eastern shore life is much more prominent. It made me sad as these islands are sinking and becoming inhabitable but it was fun to revisit this coming of age story.

Amiable Oh, I adored this book when I was a kid! 1y

One thing I enjoyed about Chesapeake Blue (aside from seeing what happened to Seth,) is revisiting the Quinn clan, I wasn‘t disappointed. They were all part of the book without taking over Seth and Dru‘s story. Dru and Seth complemented each other so well. SEA SWEPT, RISING TIDES, INNER HARBOR, CHESAPEAKE BLUE all great reads. The Quinn siblings and the dynamics of the families work well with each storyline, it will be hard to say good-bye.

I raced through this engaging read, absolutely unputdownable. Rising Tides is the second book in the series Chesapeake Bay I loved Ethan‘s story and how he connected with Seth. I can‘t wait to read Phillip‘s story, it‘s a great series to get lost in.

Liatrek One of my fav Nora series📚📚❤️ 2y

Even casual readers know summer season is a relaxing day on the sand with a swoon-worthy romance. SEA SWEPT by Nora Roberts is that hot beach read to make it a relaxing escape, great first book to the series Chesapeake Bay.

August 4, #ArtfulAugust Boat This is part of a series where brothers start a boat making company. A great romance series. I cried at some of the scenes in these books @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
