My current audiobook is the newest Liane Moriarty, so far I am really liking it! It‘s very character driven but I am looking forward to seeing where it goes!
Thanks to Libro.fm for the free copy! Out in September!

This was a sweet story about Edward, a science teacher nearing retirement, learning to move on after his beloved wife‘s death. Is it possible to love again, or is simply finding someone who makes him less lonely enough? Edward‘s relationship with his “inherited family” also plays a role, He‘s a good guy, and I was rooting for him. Relatively light, but with some deep, meaningful moments. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 (audiobook)
A gift from my friend @EadieB ❤️
Started this on audio tonight, a gift from the generous @EadieB
I am enjoying it so far. I really like the MC, Edward, who is learning to live without his beloved wife. I wish I‘d read this after my mother died - maybe I would have had a better picture of my dad‘s grief. We never tried to rush him through his grief, but I know we didn‘t know the extent of his loneliness and he never really talked about it. ❤️
This was good, although I wasn‘t sure I was going to like where it was headed for a while. Luckily, it turned out ok in the end. I also liked Edward‘s relationships with his stepkids and his mother-in-law

Beck's violent mother stifles his daily live. Her imposed rules of piano coming before school, friends, and happiness leads him to feel estranged from his peers and the world at large. But when Beck meets August, he is introduced to a life lead by happiness and is given the option to approach what is missing in his own life, and figure out exactly why.
5/5 stars. Finally a book to pull me out of my reading rut. I‘ve been struggling to finish almost anything lately. When I do, it takes me SO long. But this story grabbed me from the start. If my kids, husband, job, and life in general didn‘t distract me...I would‘ve finished this in one sitting. It‘s beautifully written and such a heartbreaking journey to follow.
I really enjoyed this book. A wonderful story with heartbreaking moments, greatly written characters and a chance of hope at the end. Proceed with caution though as it deals with psychological, verbal and physical abuse.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This one was good. Sad and frustrating, but ultimately hopeful. Can‘t wait to read her second novel!
