Another oldie but goody. This is the first American Girls book with Felicity. Felicity is an 11 year old girl growing up during the American Revolution in the 1700s.
I‘m actually not sure if Felicity‘s books are still being published but if you can find them you should definitely pick them up.

Heroes by Peter Gabriel
Sorcha is not the typical hero type character but I consider her a hero because she she does fight and beat the odds to bring back her family.
I loved this story and I can‘t wait to get back to this world. Sorcha was and still is one of my favorite characters.
