The nonfiction book I chose to focus on this month for my #2025nfbookchallenge is the 1689 London Baptist Confession. I think it‘ll be interesting to learn about the history of the denomination I was raised in. So far, I‘m finding it excellent. The statements are clear, considering the lingo from that year differs just a bit from today, and the many scriptures used to back each statement are solid.

Pickpick

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a very short but convicting read. It‘s also incredibly timely (purposely so, I believe). This has been an election year like none other with even the Christian church funding itself torn apart in places by butter politics. I‘m sad this book is necessary, but grateful someone had the courage and compassion to speak the truth. I recommend this book.

Finished my first piece of Victorian writing for #Victober. The Prince of Preachers explains theology in easy to understand wording. This is a small booklet, yet holds so much. Look up Charles Spurgeon and read a few of his nuggets of wisdom!
