Books are forever; coffee, although absolutely necessary, is not 😁 This just reminded me of this past weekend with my husband in Barnes and Noble. I refused to pay $5 for a beverage; but he handed me a $26 hardcover (discounted after using my Educator card), said it seemed like something I would like, and I walked right up to the cashier. I love that he looks for books for me (he's not a reader, unfortunately 😜)

Smangela Plus the Starbucks cafes in Barnes and noble don't take Starbucks gift cards! Ugh! I love that your husband looks for books you'd like ❤️ what a keeper! 7y
CindyMyLifeIsLit @Smangela People try to use their gift cards there all the time, but they're not actually a Starbucks--they just use Starbucks products. Officially, they're just the Barnes & Noble cafe. My daughter was a barista there for several years and it was a common misconception. Maybe if they didn't wear the green aprons . . . (edited) 7y

CindyMyLifeIsLit It's all relative, right? My husband does the same thing! He makes long-suffering remarks about running out of room, but then he escorts me to book sales and hunts diligently for the type of books he knows I like. #bookhusbands 7y

CindyMyLifeIsLit @Smangela Don't even bring that up! I was living the high life while my daughter still lived here--employee discount on books, coffee, and cheesecakes! Then she moved away 😢 and it all stopped (except when she comes home to visit). 😁 7y
