Oops! I had a #bookcident when I went for a browse and came out with this 700-page monster! (Though, I mean, when did "a browse" ever not result in a purchase!)
It focuses on my favourite Bowie period, and is a compilation of scores of interviews with the musicians, producers, engineers, etc., who Bowie worked with, as well as the author's interviews with David over many years as a rock journalist. ???‍?

Bookwomble @TrishB Correction, it's two volumes, the original French second part was published 2022, and an English translation not yet available. Sorry to tag you with such trivia, but I struggle sometimes to not put things "right" ? 12mo

Things in Brown Paper | Donovan Irven

I came into town to pick up a book for somebody else's Xmas present - mission accomplished 🎁
Then, had a major bookcident! 😲and bought something for myself So, I've come for a sit down and a brew in the WestminsterTea Rooms to recover and plan strategy.
Do I add it to the Christmas book pile I've already bought myself and hope Mrs B's festive cheer gets me off the hook, or do I smuggle it in and hide it in the stacks? I'm thinking Plan B!

Bookwomble @batsy @Linsy @jlhammar @vivastory @tpixie I went with Plan B! 😁 The Westminster Tea Rooms is always a nice place to visit, and as well as their traditional 1920s Mapp-and-Lucia vibe, they do an excellent choice of veggie and vegan options - I didn't take a photo of my vegan sausage and mash with onion gravy, but it was 😚👌 2y
