A Deadly Inside Scoop | Abby Collette

Pickpick

I've been so excited for this cozy and it didn't disappoint! Cozies by or about people of color are incredibly rare, so this is a very welcome addition to the genre. I wish it had been a *tad* shorter, but Win, her family, and their charming ice cream shop are going to bring me back.

Pickpick

This was a long but rewarding read. In this book, Michael Pollan investigates industrial food, organic/alternative food, and hunting/foraging to explore why the question "what should we eat?" poses such a dilemma.

This book was well-written and thoroughly researched, and I enjoyed reading about his firsthand experiences with each industry. But I'm also going to swear off industrial beef now ?

[This was my #bookaboutfood for #PopSugar2017]

dariazeoli Read this around the time I started down the path to veganism. The food system is ridiculous! 8y
danimgill @dariazeoli It really is, and I didn't realize the scope of it until reading this book! So crazy. 8y
