Raised by a single father in Kenya in the early days of the 20th century, Beryl was not one to be tamed or cowed. This memoir covers her life from early childhood, becoming a horse trainer, through the days after her legendary flight from London to Nova Scotia. Her descriptions were beautiful and the droll humor she used was fantastic.
Just remember, it was written in the 1940s, some descriptions of the African people would not fly today.
