As promised, Cindy, I caught up with The Elderly Father for his book report. He said both these books were “great”.

A man of few words except when he‘s talking about his new hearing aids and how loud the sparrows are. Plenty loud if you‘re wondering.

Reggie Yay for dads in our lives. My dad‘s birthday was this past Sunday and he made me laugh so much. I do feel like we‘re headed towards hearing aid territory. 5y

So pleased to finish Our Mutual Friend which I‘d thought would take me another week. Also To be Taught if Fortunate, the Becky Chambers novella - if you like Interstellar (movie) you would like this! I started listening to Cinder on audio. I got the idea from Lauren and the Books (youtuber) to use audio for rereads and its working beautifully for me. I normally struggle with audio but revisiting a beloved book this way is lovely.
