Libby | Milt Machlin

Is anyone else having this issue with #libby? This is happening to me all the time, the book will stop playing on its own or won‘t start and then I get this exclamation point and have to restart #libby multiple times to get it to play again. Is it just my stupid phone or does this happen to everyone?

RadicalReader I use Libby and love I enjoy having a huge selection of books to enjoy while on the go and being able to enjoy the wonderful aspects of having books arrive on my device without me constantly having to check for their availability always love a present of highly anticipated books from myself to myself 6y

amb @RadicalReader I have enjoyed Libby in the past but it seems to have gotten temperamental and I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this 6y

hes7 This happens to me every once in a while, too. Usually restarting fixes it for me. 6y

So question! I really want to listen to my audio books in the shower, but how? I had a small in shower speaker but within a couple months it turned to junk. Anyone have a better solution?

Smartypants Me too! I can get an extra 20 minutes a day of reading in if I listen while showering. Please somebody solve this dilemma! 📚🚿🛁 7y

candority My housemate puts her phone in a plastic bag and takes it in the shower. She‘s been doing it for years and hasn‘t had any issues. Seems risky to me though! 7y

CoffeeNBooks I have a Soundbot SB510 HD Water Resistant 3.0 Shower Speaker that I bought from Amazon. It's only $13.89 and works great for music! I never thought of listening to my audiobook with it- what a great idea! 7y

MicrobeMom I am bad! I often put my phone in the shower on a ledge and point the shower head away. They pray it doesn‘t fall! 7y

sprainedbrain I just have a Bluetooth speaker we keep in the bathroom... it‘s not waterproof, so I just turn it up REALLY LOUD. 😂 7y

Chasing_Pages @sprainedbrain I do the same, just regular Bluetooth speaker (I have the creative muvo 20 off amazon for 3 years and works great) turned up loud in bathroom. 7y

mrsmarch My husband balances his phone on the sink and cranks up the volume. Also, if you put your phone in a pint glass, it acts as a sound magnifier. 7y

cariashley I‘m on my second waterproof Bluetooth speaker. The first one was better but started to go on the fritz. There are some great suggestions here though! 7y

SleepyDragon The Samsung Galaxy is supposedly waterproof. Never tested it in the shower, though. 7y

DragonAuthors Just leave it outside the shower and crank it to full volume. It won't hurt your neighbors to start the day with a book. 😂 7y

Amazons Audible Audio Books | Albert N Thomas

So, about a month ago I finally cracked and got an Audible account because Hoopla & Overdrive weren't cutting it. I come to find out all of these books are now available through one or the other!!! #audioproblems

LauraBeth I can relate to your frustration! I ended up finally canceling Audible because for me, the value proposition just wasn't there (particularly since I never re-listen to an audiobook). 8y

Reviewsbylola I wonder how often hoopla adds new books. I rarely go back and check if they don't have a title I want so maybe I should. 8y

Coleen I usually check Hoopla once or twice a week under the "just added to Hoopla" genre. Sometimes there will be several weeks with nothing good & then in one week there'll be several good ones. (edited) 8y
