I read so many good books in 2023 that it is hard to narrow the list down…but this one is in my top 3 reads for the year (2nd or 3rd place).
Runner up for January: Babel by R. F. Kuang. This one would have made the top 12 list if read in a different month. Lol

pickThis is a lovely and heartwarming story by Eric Walters, one of Canada's most prolific and popular YA authors, and Kathy Kacer. In post-9/11 New York City, Shirli learns more about her grandfather, a Holocaust survivor, as she prepares to perform in a school production of Fiddler on the Roof.
