I think this is my final list for #bookspin #doublespin and #HauntedShelf. Heavy on the horror/mystery/dark academia, but Jane needs to stay in there too if I have any hope of finishing my goal for the year. I'm still trying to figure out #HauntedShelf since it's my first time, but it sounds fun!

Can you believe September is almost over?? Here‘s the first discussion question for our September #WithTheBanned read. I‘ll tag everyone in the first post, 3 questions total.
Three separate timelines and narrators, during Hitler's reign in WW2, 1980s East/West Germany, and 2020 racial tensions in America. All plots dealing with the importance of resisting tyranny and the abuse of power. Bray is a master of weaving this kind of narrative and all three stories are inextricably linked by the end of the story.
I went into this one with higher hopes. Every time Evelyn and Arden find each other, is intense and emotional. And each time, he takes her life. The concept and writing are beautifully morbid, but the ending and the why fell flat for me. Book #76 in 2026 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
