pickThis was an interesting look at the “founding mothers” of NPR as well as its birth. Early in their careers, Susan Stamberg, Linda Wertheimer, Nina Totenberg, and Cokie Roberts faced the obstacles to workplace entry of many white Boomer women: the doors they knocked on already had their one woman. Perhaps due to its newness, they found a home at NPR, and it launched their careers. There is some #WhiteFeminism about it, but still fascinating women.
