pickA series of interconnected short stories exploring the lives of British women of different generations, all with African heritage. I thought the first two stories, featuring a couple of strong characters and an interesting mother-daughter dynamic, were brilliant. I was disappointed to only see these characters briefly later in the book. For me, the other stories were less interesting. #AuldLangSpine
