I would use this book in my classroom to highlight the themes of ambition and perseverance. I think this is an important lesson to be taught in school and this book does a great job highlighting it.

This book takes place in the 1970s and shares the story of a boy named Mick who has a dream of playing basketball. This story shares themes of ambition and friendship.

Found this today at #TitleIX books ins New London, CT. I didn‘t need MORE convincing, but it was an interesting read nonetheless.
