After the first three chapters, I was starting to worry a bit. I didn‘t really get a sense of where the story was going, but after finishing chapter four, I‘m locked in. Gideon reads like a Deadpool in an epic fantasy, and for now, it‘s working for me. I‘m a bit unsettled by Tamsyn Muir‘s love affair with adverbs (my inner editor is twitching), but even I have to concede it fits Gideon‘s voice. #GideonTheNinth #TamsynMuir #fantasy
