What's everyone's thoughts on #takeaknee?

I do not think they are trying to disrespect veterans or what our flag stands for. They are bravely & silently calling attention to the serious issues facing our country. This POTUS does not represent the American people.

Kaye It seems disrespectful to our flag, our country, and those who died for all our freedoms. BUT, I understand there are many problems in our country right now. I wish they could find a different way to show their solidarity, as we really need that. I agree with their theory but not their method. With the leader we currently have, he has our country in constant chaos. I hate what is happening to us, but I couldn't sit for the flag or the anthem. 7y

Johanna414 I don't think it has anything to do with the flag or our troops and it bothers me when people make it out to be nothing more than that. It is a peaceful protest about racial inequality, and they are brave to be taking a stand for those who don't have the power or the voice to do so. All of the rhetoric I've been seeing has completely taken race out of the discussion and makes it out like these men are simply unpatriotic. 😡 (edited) 7y
