Problem was, Inspector Whicher believed a member of this prominent family was the culprit which of course went down like a lead balloon amongst his superiors. Sent home in disgrace, he was proved right 5yrs later.

The jackson lamb series is addictive and this is book 4 which i am looking forward to reading soon. Modern spymasters battle both internal and external threats and everywhere the reader turns are twists, turns, plots and lots of suspicious minds. A series id really recommend.

I can‘t go past Othello. Poor poor Desdemona, a victim to O‘s suspicious mind and Iago‘s treachery. And really, the themes in this speak much to the modern world. Desdemona‘s very life is in the balance as men determine her worth in their minds. Emilia has a great speech about the men in Act 3 “they eat us hungerly and when they are full they belch us”
Capped off the end of the book with part 2 of the film today, giving my eyes a reading rest due to a headache and easing myself away from the Fellowship!
The Ring poisons the minds of all who bear it. Frodo certainly had #suspiciousminds as it became more precious to him. I am sorry that he paid such a price.
ROTK is my favorite movie. I pretty much weep from “My friends, you bow to no one” till the end. 😭

When I said it was Elvis today my daughter said I had to tell her Elvis story! So (it makes me look bad!)... She has been mad on Elvis since she was 6 and the films were on in the holidays. After watching the last one she said to me - I can't wait to grow up and marry Elvis 💝 👇
