I was reorganizing my shelves yesterday....
On the right, there are a couple of small paperback collections I‘ve started...
The Vintage McEwan covers are simple and beautiful, and I‘ve discovered some wonderful reads from all the #NYRB that so many Littens recommend 👍😊💕📚
(Just wish all the #nyrb logo matched up!)
On the left are 4 lovely editions, that may just be the start of some new collections 😂....
Today‘s #SundayShelfie is of some of the shelves housing my mystery collection. (I am one of those who alphabetize by author within a genre.) My shelves also hold a lot of other things—photos, Legos, The Child, a basketball signed by Kenny Battle (my favorite basketball player when I was in college). Might be time to clean them up a bit while we‘re home. Jellico Road, one of my favorite YA books ever & one I reread every year, is front & center.
Late with the #SundayShelfie but here it is. This is the TBR stack closest to my bed & the one I plan to work through first over the next couple of weeks. Most are for me—the Star Wars books my son & I will read independently & then discuss. We have one more day of school—I‘m making sure we send kids home with as many books as they can carry—and then home until the end of a March. Uncharted territory—I hope everyone stays healthy & safe.
After a wonderful visit with my mother and lots of conversation about books, I thought it only made sense to feature some of her bookshelves for my #SundayShelfie. Lots of great books on her shelves, the tagged one is probably my favorite. I also love that she still likes to read in French and that she keeps a small collection of French books. I‘m a reader, in large part, because my mom was such a reader. ❤️❤️❤️

This is the mystery/thriller section of my bookshelf-by far the biggest genre of books I own. I have not read any of these yet. Usually once I read them I give them away. The picture is my grandparents, now long since passed away, shortly after they retired to Florida. It‘s nice to have them here with me in my library. 🥰📚
Today‘s #SundayShelfie is a family affair. This bookcase was in my son‘s bedroom when he was little but once he learned how to read, he exceeded its capacity. So we got him a bigger one & moved this one into the second floor landing where I used it to house part, a small part, of my TBR stack until my son expanded beyond his bookcase...again. We share it now—top shelf is his, bottom two are mine. Novik‘s book is one I really want to read.
