so-soI snuck this Miss Marple short story into my December reading for the Snowflake prompt (set during winter/in snow) in the #ChristmasCrimeChallenge. I do love Miss Marple and her keen observations of human nature, but as is usual for me with Christie‘s short stories, I found this all too short.

pickNo one knows how to eviscerate the pretensions of high society quite like Wharton. This story is like mean girls meets your local book club. I read it for my “x” book in a-z challenge which may be cheating bc it‘s not quite a full book but I could find a good book to fit. The story had me laughing my way through.
