When I lived in Boston,I took a train to Rockport one day & visited working artists‘ galleries.I fell in love with this watercolor; it spoke to me.I knew I could not afford it, but kept coming back to drink the painting in.The artist began talking to me whenever I returned. Result:he let me walk out with the framed painting, $30 down, with the agreement to pay him monthly.🖼🎨 Book‘s setting is Rockport.

kspenmoll @wanderinglynn It amazed me. At the time I was a teacher at a daycare center with not much if a salary to speak of. Recently I looked him up but sadly, he had died. 5y
