I was excited about this, because there aren't many Obama staff memoirs written by ladies, and I was looking forward to her unique POV. Beck was a stenographer for the administration and traveled all over the world with POTUS. She has some nice reflections on that, but 60-70% of the book is about her sad, self-destructive affair with "Jason". Not really what I was hoping for, should've got this from the library. ?

Continuing on with my Obama staffer memoirs, I think this is a good one. Pat's lays on the adoration for his former boss a bit thick, but he did a good job of telling stories that taught me a bit more about how White House press works. He talks about the delicate but important relationship the President has with the press, how it's difficult but necessary, and both sides need to do their job.
