Joining @Andrew65 in #12Booksof2021.
Thank Goodness I have a #MyYearinBooks Highlight on my Instagram!

From my Goodreads: Started reading on NYE and 1st book I read on New Year's Day. Decided to read along the Timeline into first few days of January. Last night I was so into it I finished a bit early.

Found Family and Tons of Representation. I would love to see this become a Series.

What a great story! Begins New Year's Eve 1929 at the Cloak and Dagger Speakeasy in New Orleans. Started reading on NYE and 1st book I started on New Year's Day. But then decided to read along the Timeline into first few days of January. Last night I was so into it I finished a bit early.

Found Family and Tons of Representation. I would love to see this become a Series.

1st Read of 2021 is fabulous! I started on New Year's Eve. Decided to savour. Put it down when the story got to Millie waking up on New Year's Day. Can't wait to see where this adventure leads! ❤1️⃣📕

"Greg! You didn't tell me it was black tie," she hissed.
"Black tie is a bourgeois construct, Minnie. I wouldn't wear it to my own funeral."

If your boyfriend doesn't tell you there is a dress code for the party you're attending; he is ?. Kick him to the curb. #newyearsreads

Perfect end of the year read! Lillian literally walks all over NYC on New Year's Eve 1984, has adventures, & thinks about her life. Full of 80s refences that I got and will make you want to visit the city. 🗽🍾🥂🕛 🎉

#newbeginnings #NewYearsReads

I‘m having a bit of a slump, my eyes are a little tired of reading from a screen, and this and another collection of poetry are the only unread dead-Tree books I have along in Italy, it‘s not much of a new beginning though.

DivineDiana I think poetry can always be a new beginning! Enjoy Italy! 7y
DivaDiane True enough! We have enjoyed Italy. Going back to the UK tomorrow! Then I can get going on more immersive reading. I have to take Poetry in smaller doses! 7y

Does it count as a new book if it was a hand me down from my Mormor?? :) she told me it‘s a “one sitting” read. Sorry for the messy hair!

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Of course!!! And you look beautiful!! And who is your Mormor?! 💕 7y
Kaye I would say any book you read is counted no matter where you got it. 7y
HotMessJess @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks it‘s my husband‘s maternal grandma! She goes by Mormor... it‘s an Eastern European thing (I think!) I should look it up! 7y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @HotMessJess that‘s so cool!!!!! 😘❤️ 7y
