 pick
pickSuch an inspiring book. Highly recommended for anyone humble enough to put their heart forward into listening and learning the knowledge she imparts.

I loved so much about this book! It gives wonderful stories and examples for us to consider modeling our own relationships and communities like. I like that the author wrote from a place of taking responsibility of growing and making changes in their own life as it is always and constantly a learning curve to live outside of the violent norms of society as it stands. This would have changed so much for me to read as a teen in building my own life

 so-so
so-soThis book is about the importance of interdependence and community rather than individualism. It is great at centering non-white, cis, straight experiences, and those of of populations without many financial resources. These stories are important, but they are stories of communities and networks as they exist. Selfishly, as a reader, I was hoping for more ideas for ways to build and support community from a place of more isolation.

Nonfiction November Week 3 is "Be the Expert" - If you find yourself pulling further left politically, or just want to learn more about leftism, I think you'll enjoy the titles shown here (and others mentioned in today's post). They all have clear, accessible writing styles and a hopeful tone. ❤?❤ https://lovelybookshelf.com/2020/11/books-for-leftists/
