These are just so sweet. Cozy mysteries with anthropomorphic animals as the characters - I've enjoyed the first two & will definitely finish the series.

Oh my, yes, please 🙏

This mystery was so cozy, it centred around a coffee shop! I love the woodland vibes in this series, and the small town coziness of the creatures that populate it. Vera the vixen does not disappoint, get her paws into the latest crime to hit Shady Hollow — but nothing about it is what it seems to be. Not a difficult puzzle to solve, although some of the details were interesting, but it was a fun little read.

Lowkey I might be too invested in the budding romance between investigative journalist Vera Vixen 🦊 & Deputy Orville Braun 🐻 because I was stressed when the miscommunication trope hit. This book focused on newly discovered moose bones and it‘s not long before suspicion falls on local cafe owner, Joe - whose wife vanished over a decade ago. It‘s not the hardest case to crack but like a good episode of Murder, She Wrote - it‘s an excellent time!

I will always pick up books about mobile libraries. Moose and assorted menagerie love stories and find ways to get more. All good vibes. Art style not quite my thing.
