October was a good month! All of these were sold reads and most were part of a series.

Looking forward to November!

This is me trying to explain the plot of this book 😂

Seriously though, this book has a lot of moving pieces handled deftly by a first time author. If you enjoy Mark Greaney's Grey Man series or similar “dad thrillers“ this would be a great addition to your TBR list!

This also works for #BookSpinBingo for book published pre-2024.

I always enjoy a good military fiction, especially when the author knows his subject. Classic 'shit rolls downhill and turns into a clusterfreck that the hero is unjustly blamed for.' You actually spend a good part of the book wondering who the good guy is.😁

Waiting for my daughter to get off work and stitching a dino (stegosaurus) for Henry while listening to the book.

Johanna414 I love your needle minder! 3y
Traci1 @Johanna414 thanks! I have loads of them, but she's by far my favorite. 3y
aroc Ok 1. Didn't know they made needleminders! Just ordered some on Etsy. Thank you! And 2. Omg! Don't you love expeditionary force! Best audiobooks I have ever listened to! Enjoy! 3y
Traci1 @aroc needle minders are great. I probably could get by with 3 or 4 but have amassed a pretty large collection. They aren't terribly hard to make either if you find a pin you like. Just some wire cutters to snap off the pin, e600 glue and the tiny craft magnets you can get at Joann's and Michael's. 3y
aroc Such a great idea! Thanks! 3y

Perfect mix of military vs political, loyalty among military teams vs corrupt politicians at the highest levels. Throw in a viral agent known as Demon Rain, a hallucinogenic mind control drug that can be mixed with sarin gas to kill. And there must be a vengeful foreign madman (this time an Iranian). Lots of action that kept me on the edge of my seat.

🎧 The 1st 1/2 of this book felt like a military memoir. I wouldn‘t know an AR-whatever from a hole in the ground but from my inexperienced non-military POV I really enjoyed the story!

It went from memoir to bananas! BAM! Some action may feel improbable but I was hooked. Hoping it‘s based on fiction.

Military thriller. Bio Terrorist plot involving the inauguration of the 1st female president & oh so much more!

Thank you NetGalley!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Twainy Just noticed the cover ... if he was in the military it explains his extensive knowledge LOL GOOD JOB! 😁 4y

Pike Logan is a top-Secret operative who has spent far too much time away from his family. When they are brutally murdered while he is off on a mission, he loses it. Eventually, he leaves the Taskforce and becomes an aimless drifter, drowning his sorrows in a bottle. After saving Jennifer from a pair of thugs, he has a spark of a purpose. He follows her to Mexico to try to locate her uncle and gets way more than he bargained for. Worth a read.
