Loved it..... but it seems to be polarizing Litsy readers. I think there may be 2 things that will make you either like or be irritated/hate this book.. 1- if you can tolerate an entire novel in lists (this quirky format is explained), and 2- whether you warm to Dan or find him an intolerable d*ck (as he often calls himself!)

KarenUK I thought he was hilarious at times, and found his mix of dark cynicism, juvenile behavior, self-loathing and big romantic heart, oddly charming. I also really felt for him, as I thought this was ultimately a story about a lost and depressed man whose life was spiraling out of control, who just made one bad decision after another. But he wanted to be better. And as silly as the ending is, i cried happy tears... 💕 (edited) 5y

JennyM @KarenUK @cinfhen that was completely my take as well. I read it and saw a man in a deep depression trying to claw out and making daft mistakes. I really felt for him. But I can see why some would hate the list format! 5y
Cinfhen Oddly, it was the list format that made this book so endearing and memorable!!! I was totally rooting for him and I #LOLed @jennym (edited) 5y
