Let It Snow | Beth Moran

Mehso-so

Most of the holiday books I read this year didn't quite do it for me. Quite a few, like this one, were what I'm starting to think of as #kitchensink books- there was just too much going on. Bea is dealing with: a family both dismissive & demanding; an undermining coworker; a COMPLETELY ridiculous and unacceptable interview for a new job; missing her ex; getting reacquainted with a childhood friend/ possible romantic partner; the potential loss ↕️

bookandbedandtea ⬆️ of the family estate, which has been a school since Bea's childhood; a hospitalized grandmother; and a secret search for her dad's dad in the hopes her long lost grandfather has enough money and guilt to save the house/ school. And, somewhere in there, it's Christmas. Frankly, there was too much going on for me to care about it all. 2y

Pickpick

I loved We Ride Upon Sticks - perfect book to distract from current events. Lots of laughs for me, my favorite kind of humor. I got it. And my only issue besides the narrator not quite my favorite (not bad, just take a drink more, girl) was too long, lots of characters and we hit every social issue there is, it seemed. #KitchenSink. THEN #coinkydink !! Poem in my current collection hits the exact mark. ❤️#SalemWitchTrials #tourism
