Last week was a week full of emotions. My 10 year old daughter has been dealing with stomach pain & nausea for the last 2 years. Initially it was thought that it was celiac, but the tests came back negative. An ultrasound of her abdominal area was also negative. The GI dr we saw in Boston chalked it up to anxiety. When we moved to MD last year the pediatric group we‘re with also chalked it anxiety also. On a recent visit for another reason we‘d

ncsufoxes found out she‘d lost a lot of weight over the last few months. She had also developed some other concerning symptoms. I was able to get her an appointment at Johns Hopkins. It was the first time in 2 years that I felt like someone validated all of her feelings & symptoms. We hopefully have an answer after more testing but we have a better direction. She was given meds for nausea & abdominal pain. My point is to always keep advocating for your kid. 3d
Ruthiella Sending you and your daughter strength and sympathy. ❤️❤️❤️ 3d
ncsufoxes Kids who have invisible & co-occurring conditions get overlooked & their symptoms can be minimized. It‘s an exhausting process. Happy to hopefully have some answers, a little worried about what could be going on. Pic of drink that my daughter liked at Costco, I‘ll buy anything that she‘ll drink/eat to help her gain more calories/weight. 3d

ChasingOm I was one of those kids 20+ years ago, and my mom never let a lack of answers dissuade her for looking for them. Good luck! 3d
AmyG My daughter went through this in high school….and it was anxiety. Not for 2 years, but a period of time. Wishing her all the best….may she feel better soon. (edited) 3d
TheBookgeekFrau Hope the test results don't come back with anything really serious, and only point you in the right direction 🙏🏼 3d
AnnCrystal 💝💝💝 May you and your daughter finally learn the answers needed to begin healing 💝💝💝. 3d
Butterfinger My daughter's stomach trouble turned out to be a cyst on one of her fallopian tubes. Keep pressing. 2d

I'm fine. It's mostly a sore throat and glands. But I am staying home so I don't spread it (unlike some co-workers). So it'll be a reading day for me!

Samantha__ Whoa, love that you brought up The Swing kettlebell programs like that are amazing they hit strength, cardio, mobility, and help with fat loss all in one. That “get fit with swings” philosophy is efficient and really effective, especially if you don‘t have tons of time.It also got me thinking about how employers can support health and fitness.I read this article about benefits https://betterme.world/articles/benefits-for-small-business-employees/ (edited) 2mo
