Pickpick

I liked this book WAY more than I anticipated and powered my way through. Compelling, gory, and such amazing suspense. This #lmpbc pick was perfect for #GroupHorror! I know this is super early but I‘ll probably send it along next week so I make sure to not forget. One of the few five star horror reads I‘ve had in a long time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hestapleton If you haven‘t read this one, I recommend it! I liked it much better than THE DEEP. 5y
wellreadredhead @Hestapleton I‘ve read Little Heaven and definitely liked The Deep better but I‘ll for sure be reading The Troop too! 5y
JoScho Excited! 5y

I‘m too excited not to start my pick for #lmpbc #GroupHorror! I can‘t wait to hear everyone‘s finalized picks!!

LauraJ Hooray! I‘ll post mine when I get home tonight. 6y
JoScho I am going with Desert Places by Blake Crouch. I ordered a physical copy and am waiting impatiently for it to arrive! 6y
wellreadredhead @JoScho I absolutely love Crouch and I am ecstatic you chose one of his that I haven‘t read! He is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Recursion was just stellar and I was lucky to get to read an ARC of it. 6y
JoScho Yay! The Deep sounds like a perfect summer horror read! 6y

wellreadredhead I‘ve read Hex and Penpal. LOVED both. Brother has been on my TBR forever!! 6y
LauraJ I've also read Hex and Penpal and Loved both. I also read Brother, which is probably Ahlborn's best book. 6y
JoScho I haven‘t read any of these but they are all on my TBR except for The Town-haven‘t heard of it but sounds good. (edited) 6y

Hey new #lmpbc group! I‘m super excited for our #GroupHorror and these were some of the selections I was thinking of choosing from. Have you guys read any of these? Any of these on your TBR?

And if either of you know our last member, could you let me know her username? There are a couple Littens with that name and I don‘t want to tag the wrong person!

Marmie7 I think she's @lauraJ ? 6y
wellreadredhead @Marmie7 Awesome! Thanks so much!! 6y
TheBookAddict The Deep is in my TBR. 6y

LauraJ I've read several of these, but it has literally been over 20 years, so I'm happy with any of the choices. Wool and The Deep are on my TBR. 6y
JoScho Yay we have four!! So glad we have a fun horror group. The only one of these I have read is Kill Creek. @lauraj @Marmie7 6y
Marmie7 Kill creek, wool, and the deep are on my tbr! 6y
RaimeyGallant The best horror of the year sounds good to me. Is it an anthology? I love horror in shorter form. 6y
wellreadredhead @RaimeyGallant Yes! It is short stories! 6y
vivastory Kill Creek is set close to where I live 6y
wellreadredhead @vivastory I love it when I find books set near where I live! I feel like it adds another dimension to the reading experience - especially if it‘s a scary book. 6y
vivastory Definitely! One of the opening scenes is set in the library with the giant book spines on the outside of the parking garage. I used to live in an apartment a block away from it. 6y
