Today‘s haiku was inspired by my Friday, mid-morning hangout at the coffee shop reading my ARC of a new book of a favorite series, not out until February. It was quiet, slow & pretty perfect.

A Perfect Friday

Hot coffee, soft bread,
Long-awaited series book,
Nothing else needed.

So my Tuesday was marginally better & slightly shorter than Monday, but not great & I crashed early—hence why the Tuesday daily haiku is being posted today. I‘ve decided to make my week by day the theme, because why not? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hopefully, I‘ll get Wednesday‘s written & posted soon.

1. In addition to reading - knitting, walking (especially hiking in nature) and yoga bring me peace.
2. The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen. I‘ve re-read it many times just for the joy of it. I also have a book of daily meditations about grief that I find comforting.
