What I'm reading for a mystery reading weekend event. It's been on my tbr list, so I'll be taking a break from wicked. Anyone else do weekend type reading events?

Pickpick

This was a real mystery and a thriller. The unanswered questions kept me turning pages. I enjoyed the mystery and questions forming in my mind. The characters had mostly good intentions. If you like a medium paced novel, with lots of intrigue and tension, this book would be a good one to pick up. I gave this a solid 4.5/5.

I‘m disappointed in myself with for bailing on this one. There is an amazing amount of information, including photos and footnotes. I unfortunately can‘t seem to absorb everything properly. I‘m sinking in all the details and obvious back/forth that is required in order to get the whole picture of what was happening😢🤷🏻‍♀️

AshleyHoss820 I totally get this! I had the same issue with All the President‘s Men. Incredibly fascinating, but LOTS of information that my brain just didn‘t want to absorb. We can always try again another day! ☺️ 1mo
DieAReader @AshleyHoss820 💯% agree! Quite interesting for sure but so info heavy that I keep getting different things confused. I‘ve been trying to get through it since December & 🤷🏻‍♀️it‘s just too much for my🧠 aparently. I‘ll check the 🎬movie out though for sure😏 1mo

AshleyHoss820 @DieAReader Yes, definitely! I hear it‘s good! When my Mom was reading a book about Henry VIII‘s wives, I printed off pictures with notes for her, so she could use it as a reference. It happens to the best of us! 😂☺️ 1mo
DieAReader @AshleyHoss820 I had my copy all post it covered & I was still struggling🤷🏻‍♀️🤭 1mo

As a whole it is good, exposing the heinous crimes against the Osage, the men who searched for justice. Note about the audio: it is split into 3 parts w/ 3 narrators, the first of which was a bit kindergarten teacher, & did not feel like it fit.

IMASLOWREADER didnt know it was a book but saw the movie…such evil things done to the osage tirbe 2mo
5feet.of.fury @IMASLOWREADER I hadn‘t heard of the book until the movie came out! I‘m definitely going to give it a watch! 2mo
