pickI am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up For Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai is a 2014 Nobel Peace Prize memoir detailing her life as a girl trying to get a real education aside from all the anger and retaliation that happens to her by the rebels. It would be a great book as an I.R. or P.R. because it allows for discussion but also allows for a more intimate understanding of what really was going on for young women today.

UDL strategy 2.1 clarify vocabulary and symbols would be necessary here because of all the vocabulary and symbols that may vary from students background knowledge. 7y
